Holy Hum // The Surrey Art Gallery // March 14th 2014

I was invited by The Surrey Art Gallery to do a performance at their InFlux event.

We played some version of the song White Buzz.

This is a short video that was shot by my friend Warren.

Holy Hum // CBC Plaza Vancouver // 2014.03.27

My friend Joni who curated The Wall space at the CBC in Vancouver asked me to perform
music in response to the work of artist Laiwan. Her large scale work "FOUNTAIN: the source or origin of anything" will be up on the corner of Hamilton and Georgia for an entire year.

I had 10 days off while I was on tour and had the chance to stay with my buddy Mark Soo in Berlin. One afternoon we took a hike up a hill. The hill was actually man made out of the rubble from all of the bombing that took place in the West. I guess they had no where to put it so they made a giant hill out of the rubble that the NSA used to build a spy station atop of. I'm not quite sure how these domes worked but the acoustics in the space were very special. You could hear very strange frequencies that I had no idea where they were emanating from if you made a noise within the dome the decay would last for a very long time.

I wish I could do a recording in that space.

BROOKLYN, NY
Centre For Performance Research
Special live film score performance to the work of artist Steve Cossman.

We showed up in NYC and had not seen any of the footage that Steve had prepared for the performance. He set up three 16mm projectors that we were improvising to.

This was a very special performance.

Performed by Andrew Lee, Ash Poon, Ryan Flowers, Rob Tornroos, Lindsey Hampton

2013-04-17 Montreal, Quebec.

Spent some time at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec doing a live video shoot to a new song that probably won't ever be released. The studio space was really vast and had a good vibe. I hope to return there to do some more recording in the future.

That's my friend Brian Chan playing the piano part to that unreleased song.

Paradiso - Amsterdam, NL: w/ Charlotte Gainsbourg

While on tour with Siskiyou in 2012 we got to play at the Paradiso in Amsterdam on the same night as Charlotte Gainsbourg. She was in the main room and we were on a side stage. She also had sushi on her rider and we got cheese and sliced bread.
